The Regional Municipality of Niagara is a growing region of diverse towns and cities located between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Only 120 kilometres from Toronto, this area is home to exciting urban centres, family-centered neighbourhoods, and lovely farming communities.

Here are some of the best towns and cities where you can live in the Niagara Region:

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is known around the world for the spectacular cascade of the same name but the city itself has its own natural appeal. It has a thriving arts community, family-friendly festivities, and dynamic entertainment districts. You’ll also find inviting residential communities such as the riverfront village of Chippawa and family neighbourhoods like Stamford.

Niagara-on-the-Lake

This town is considered “The Loveliest Town in Canada” with its world-renowned wineries and restaurants, pristine biking and walking trails, and opulent homes and estates. The exclusive neighbourhoods here are mostly decked in colonial-style architecture and offer a unique and luxurious lifestyle.

St. Catharines

Located at the entrance of the Welland Ship Canal, this city is where old-world lakeside charm meets modern urban living. Also called the “Garden City,” St. Catharines is famous for its nature-filled trails, tree-lined neighbourhoods, and heritage sites. Thorold

  • Port Colborne. Home to a unique marine heritage, this city sits along the north shores of Lake Erie.
